POLONIEX CLOSES TROLLBOX - SEEKS TO COPE WITH CRYPTO EXPANSION

So, Poloniex - America's volume leader for Crypto trading - abruptly closed the window into the insanity of what passes for the new wild wild west. The announcement was made right below where the Trollbox used to be:

To meet the increasing demands on support staff, the Trollbox has been disabled indefinitely and moderators have been reallocated to assist in support.

It really should have been expected as the moderators were dealing with endless requests for level 2 verification and other service issues that seemingly..if the posts in the Trollbox are to believed - were going on for some requests for service for weeks upon weeks. That said, Poloniex also posted a further explanation as to how the process of hiring qualified people who know compliance laws is time-consuming. That said, Polo is routinely handling 55,000+ online at the same time without too much if any problem in lag...a major issue recently during the pump-up of big money into cryptocurrencies at numbers much lower.

I'd expect someone to step in and start a PoloChat website before too long - with all it's problems...the Trollbox was a good source for CryptoNews and coins that were suddenly moving in price up or down.

More and more companies are seeing the advantages of using the blockchain - and it appears that when the proper regulation comes...that it seems ready to work with the likes of Coinbase...with which it already has pilot projects.

Wall Street is figuring out ways to invest in portfolios of cryptos now that Bitcoin's influence in marketcap is waning - and others like Ripple and Ethereum and New Economy Movement are rising - minimum buy-in is 25,000 USD.

Bought this new and falling price coin from 124-97 on 4/3-4/7. Like name and the multiple exchanges adding this coin quickly move.

Have sell position at 179 and hold 1/2 in no position. May lower price target a bit but this is certainly a coin that could have a run or two upwards..and will stick with it.

Bought Stellar on 4/5-4/7 for 1019-1046 as it appeared to have bottomed - Hold no sell position.

The 30 Dollar Weekend

As folks who read this blog know - I started trading the virtual currencies when Bitcoin took it's plunge from 600 to 300.... and I've been learning ever since. The headline refers to the fact that from Thursday morning to Monday morning (yesterday) I had clearly my biggest win of the 2014 trading season as Dental Floss Tycoon, 30 bucks up for the weekend. I'll review it shortly.

Next, let it be said that this blog will have lots more posting in 2015 - consistent posting - as will my Bitcoins In Trade blog. I've literally have been learning the ropes and will at least share the smidgen I've learned so far today and in the future.... strategies I'm following etc..... good exchanges to use..... what to avoid, of course.

Bittrex

This is the first real exchange with volume that I jumped into - it's good but not the one I use the most. I've profited for sure at Bittrex.... I'm accumulating and selling PandaCoin and NavajoCoin there... be careful as coins are delisted all the time.

Cryptsy

I'm most active at Cryptsy and have traded over 1 BTC of value this month there. I love the spreads -charts - and medium volume on many coins including LTC trades. Accumulating and trading MazaCoin there.... like nearly everything there...but, support on wallets needs improvement (have inquired about the Moon Wallet for weeks now).

Bluetrade

I mostly use bluetrade for LTC trading and find it hard to trade any other of the offered coins including HTML5. I have TONS of BunnyCoins and MoonCoins at Bluetrade... should either one ever take off..... dreams. The Bluetrade share is probably the internets easiest `faucet' of free coinage.... all for the price of one share of Bluetrade (under 2 bucks).

Poloniex

The most recent exchange I entered into and with one purpose in mind was Poloniex - I wanted to trade `hot' coins there: instead almost immediately I caught the peak of the HUGE recent surges of RippleCoin and StellarCoin... of which... I've had to cool my heels while they re-ignite.
