Panel Warns of Nightmare Scenarios for Housing Crisis

No, I haven't moved all of the fear links to my new blog When The SHTF -- because not all should just be shuttled off. This link outlines just how stupid things could get because of the banking fraud (of which none are in jail for) that occurred earlier in the decade-millennium. Here's some quotes:

The "robo-signing" scandal at the heart of the current foreclosure crisis may be just the tip of a legal iceberg that threatens to destabilize the American financial system just as the government is least equipped to support it.


That's the judgment of the Congressional Oversight Panel, the watchdog agency created to keep an eye on the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP. And it's the first official warning from anyone in the government that banks' problematic servicing of foreclosures could obscure and possibly evolve into troubles on a global scale.
"At this point the ultimate implications remain unclear. It is possible, however, that 'robo-signing' may have concealed much deeper problems in the mortgage market that could potentially threaten financial stability and undermine the government's efforts to mitigate the foreclosure crisis," the panel said in a 127-page report issued today. "In essence, banks may be unable to prove that they own the mortgage loans they claim to own."

Cambridge Brain Science Test

Fellow Barfsters - I ran across this brain test - takes about 30 minutes total doing 12 tasks. You can come back to it and just do it in parts. When you finish it will give you your results in conparison to the population that has taken the test. Also, it will let you re-take the test at a later time (which might be important to a good or improving score as you think about strategies to the various tests). The best I did was on section 12 where I placed in the top 14% of the population and the worst was on section 11 where I placed in the bottom 7% -- give it a go. Here is an example of the test with a chimp -- oh, btw, Chimps are MUCH better than humans on the test you are watching (which is test one of the 12 tests).

Sky Rings - Smoke, Bugs, Missiles, Or Hoaxes?

Today on my UFO blog I have multiple videos of a `new' UFO phenomena that has been growing in the last couple of years - RING UFO's -- which look like LED lights in the sky to a large degree. That said, if you look at the videos http://ufodisclosurecountdownclock.blogspot.com/ you will see movements and such that seems to eliminate those ideas too.

But, this is Barf Stew - and I can say that there is more than one type of ring in the sky to observe - as these video's show. Indeed the first one up was the one over Kings Dominion amusement park in Virginia in 2009 - here's the TV report:


The explanation offered was that it came from one particular `ride' and that often these rings stayed in the air.
